SHAPING TOMORROW TODAY

Representatives from the local tourism sector, the city administration and committed citizens have drawn up an ambitious touristic vision for the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, which provides guidelines for the future development of tourism and the target range for 2030. Lübeck and Travemünde represent responsible tourism and mutual appreciation. Read more about our guidelines or, if you want to know all the details, you can find our Tourism Development Concept Lübeck and Travemünde 2030 here.

Becoming a sustainable destination is a joint effort, that requires the spirit of partnership and cooperation from all those involved. In 2021, we established a network consisting of hoteliers, restaurateurs, cultural institutions and many others, in Lübeck and Travemünde. We wanted to get the ball rolling and turn our common vision into reality. We are happy to tell you why we decided to go down the path of certification with TourCert in Lübeck and Travemünde.

Sustainable Development Goals

17 Sustainable Development Goals

The SDG - Sustainable Development Goals - are 17 goals adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2015 which are intended to help us achieve sustainable development on a global scale by 2030. Global goals will only become reality through commitment on a municipal level, and for that reason, we in Lübeck have recognised the SGDs and embraced a path of sustainable urban development.
